Program Description

The Emergency Mental Heath is part of the Crisis Network for the Brant Community and provides comprehensive mental health and addictions assessments in the Emergency Department of Brant Community Health Centre. The Crisis Network is a team of organizations and professionals providing crisis mental health and addiction assessments. Capacity to admit to the Inpatient Unit without going through the Emergency Department. Referrals to on-going service. Children ages 16-18 may be assessed and re-directed to McMaster Children's Centre for mental health assessment. The Crisis Network is an integrated program created through the partnerships of St. Leonard's Community Services, Behavioral Services Ontario and the Brant Community Healthcare System.

Access Information

Access is through emergency room or through Brantford Medical Centre Clinic and St Leonards Crisis Support Services as part of the Mobile Crisis Rapid Resonse Team.
