Crisis Intervention

Type of Service

Crisis Intervention

Program Description

Professional staff provides crisis intervention to those suffering from a wide range of serious and persistent mental health problems such as depression, psychosis, post-traumatic stress, anxiety or panic. We are able to provide psychiatric consultation via televideo linkage with psychiatrists at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Peterborough Regional Health Centre and Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. We also offer on-site psychiatric consultation although this is a more limited resource. Model of service is psychiatric consultation for assessment, with treatment by linkage back to the family physician, emergency department or community resources for service.
