Program Description

The Barrett Centre is a mental health crisis program that responds to the needs of individuals experiencing a mental health crisis but do not need hospitalization. The goal is to provide a safe place for people to receive support in resolving crisis situations. Model of service is recovery and client directed. Telephone support 24 hours, 7 days a week and in-person non-residential support is offered. This program also provides transitional support for clients discharged from hospital inpatient programs to assist in a successful transition back to the community. Clients involved in the justice system are also served, providing transitional residential support for clients leaving custody or those involved in a court diversion program. This program is an LGBTQ-safe environment. Length of stay can be extended in necessary.
