Short Term Crisis Support Beds

Program Description

The Safe Bed program is designed to assist people with a serious mental illness who come in contact with the law due to their mental illness and require crisis support and short-term accommodations. There is a protocol between the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, as they provide the first response to a crisis call for this program. Model of service is recovery, psychosocial rehabilitation and client-centred.

Access Information

This service can be accessed via the police emergency department or community crisis centre. Clients need to already be involved with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
