Let's Talk

Type of Service

Mental Health Awareness

Program Description

Let's Talk is a two-visit educational program for high schools designed to teach youth about mental illness and help decrease the stigma associated with mental illness. In the first visit, students have the opportunity to meet and hear the story of an individual living with mental illness. In the second visit, the classroom participates in a discussion forum where students get the opportunity to talk about any issues (mental health, self-esteem, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, etc.) that they may be facing. It gives youth a chance to talk, be heard and give their feedback in a non-threatening environment.
