Program Description

York Support Services Network (YSSN) Community Crisis Response Service is available to all York Region residents who are experiencing a mental health crisis and their families or friends. By calling, individuals are connected with a crisis response professional. A crisis worker can provide an immediate response in a variety of critical mental health situations including: depression, intense feelings of distress, loneliness, anxiety or fear, thoughts of suicide, feelings of rage, hopelessness or despair. A mobile crisis response team augments the telephone service when required. The crisis response service is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week through 905-310-COPE (2673). Model of service is psychosocial/recovery-based.
