Program Description

The Psychiatric Day Hospital is an outpatient service for seniors living in the community who suffer from depressive illness. Psychiatrists, nurses, a social worker, an occupational therapist, and dance movement therapist provide services. Other professional services are available by consultation, if needed. Treatment consists of individual and group therapy and medication. Emphasis is placed on treatment of depression and learning new coping skills. Model of service is bio-psychosocial.
