Crisis Intervention

Program Description

Twenty-four Hour Crisis Line. Information, referrals, crisis intervention and pre-crisis support. Mobile Crisis Response: providing an alternative to busy emergency room visits, our Mobile Response Team is available to travel to the person in need of non-medical crisis intervention in Barrie. This service operates between the hours of 1000-2200, seven days a week. Our service and general philosophy is very much client-driven, providing non-medical support which allows for flexible care provision and promotion of collaborative crisis planning, for approximately three days' duration. Model of service is crisis intervention.

Access Information

Clients will usually access the crisis line first. They may request a mobile visit, or we may suggest to them that a face to face assessment may be helpful. At this point, our team would travel to the person in need of crisis intervention. Admission to our crisis beds may be an option. It's important to note that we do admit directly to the beds in some circumstances; however, we strive to provide crisis intervention options in the least intrusive manner.
