Program Description

The Family Outreach and Response Program (FOR) offers recovery-oriented mental health supports and services to families and friends. Our services include: information and referral, group education and support, individual, couple and family counselling, assessment, consultation, peer-support groups and community building and development. FOR specializes in working with families whose relatives are experiencing an early psychosis. Our programs include: early Intervention family-support program that offers individual support and an 8-week recovery course; the Family Recovery Program that provides support for families and friends of people struggling with any mental distress that gets labelled mental illness; and DBT Informed Family Support. FOR also offers a family navigator program in partnership with St. Joseph's Health Centre, offering support to families and friends of people using mental health services at the hospital.
