Short-Term Case Management - Court Support

Type of Service

Case Management/Supportive Counselling & Services - Mental Health

Program Description

The purpose of the Short-Term Case Management - Court Support program is to support the individual's transition from custody through probation/parole and the courts to the mental health community. The Release from Custody program recognizes that some individuals who face criminal charges would be better served by the mental health system than the criminal justice system. Individuals are diverted out of the regular stream of the criminal justice system by virtue of their voluntary participation in the program. Model of service is recovery focused. Average length of stay is up to six months.
