Program Description

Employment Support Services supports the recovery of individuals with mental illness through employment education and a range of applied work experiences. Employment Support Services can support individuals in their employment pursuits in any of the following ways: exploration of appropriate employment opportunities; employment preparation through one-on-one consultation, pre-vocational training and job readiness; ongoing job maintenance through coaching and advocacy; connections with community employers; links to other vocational resources and training; volunteer opportunities through supported employment opportunities, individuals can increase their sense of accomplishment, community involvement, self-esteem and pride, and work towards social and economic independence. Model of service delivery is psychosocial rehabilitation.
