Psychotic Disorders Clinic

Type of Service

Counselling and Treatment

Program Description

The Psychotic Disorders Clinic sees children and youth, 16 and under, along with their families, who have been referred by their family doctor, paediatrician or psychiatrist with concerns about psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia) or symptoms of psychosis. We offer assessments, including assessments for children who are considered to be at a high risk of developing schizophrenia. We can help with diagnosis and management suggestions and may be able to offer time-limited outpatient treatment, including individual and family therapy and medication management. When appropriate, we may refer to other services of treatment settings.

Access Information

Referrals are processed through Access CAMH. Referral from family doctor, paediatrician or psychiatrist. Families/youth will be encouraged to complete online screening questionnaires in order to help triage effectively. These can also be completed on-site.
