Mental Health Awareness

Program Description

The Youth Wellness program offers interactive workshops and groups to school-aged youth in both a classroom and community environment. The aim of the program is to enhance both teachers' and students' knowledge, attitudes and skills regarding the promotion of mental, emotional and social wellbeing. Workshops are age appropriate and provide opportunities for students to develop healthy coping strategies, demystify and destigmatize mental illness, and to normalize help seeking for oneself and others. Workshops include anti-bullying, surviving high school, self-harm, stress management, understanding mental illness, suicide awareness and prevention and eating disorders.
