Support Within Housing - Mental Health

Program Description

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) sublets units to eligible participants with a serious mental illness at a reduced rent equal to an individual/family's maximum shelter allowance under the Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support programs. Model of service is residential tenancies act.

Access Information

CMHA Huron-Perth provides accommodation for individuals/families with a serious mental illness receiving support services within the catchment area that are homeless, at risk of being homeless or are paying more than 50% of their income on shelter. Rent payments are based on a calculation of tenant income. Assignment to housing is based on availability and priority. Client will be placed on wait list.
