Program Description

The Mental Health and Justice Program at Margaret Frazer House provides supportive interventions and referral to important programs and services for people experiencing mental health difficulties and who are also involved in the criminal justice system. Using a client-centred recovery-based approach, the program provides counselling, advocacy for housing, and other social resources for life skills development.

Access Information

Referrals are generally received from the Ontario Court of Justice in the downtown Toronto courts but could come from anywhere in Metro Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Priority referrals will be given to clients who are often labelled as hard-to-serve due to factors such as ethnoracial identity or backgrounds and/or other forms of racialization, alienation and marginalization.
