We are a non-profit, member-driven community mental health organization. We are funded by the Ministry of Health, United Way of Oxford and donations. The Oxford Self-Help Network provides support and opportunities for members to establish self-help groups and to participate in a variety of educational and social activities. We help people help themselves improve their quality of life. Oxford Self-Help provides resources to self-help groups, primarily in the area of mental health; a monthly newsletter to all our members; a lending library which includes books, audio and video cassettes; workshops that cover many areas; public speakers are available; facilitation training; and social opportunities.
